General questions

Q: I print correctly a drawing with BlueCAD. I write the drawing in Dwg format, I read it with AutoCAD and I see it correctly on the display, but a piece of the drawing is not printed.
A: You should verify it not printed entities belong to "DEFPOINTS" layer. This is the name of a particular AutoCAD layer, used with the construction lines. This layer is not printed by AutoCAD.

BlueCAD 1.0 questions

Q: When I exit from the program, an error window appears. When I restart BlueCAD it does't work properly and I need to restart Windows.

Q: The update installation program tells me BlueCAD 1.0 is not installed on my computer, but it is.
A: This problem may happen upgrading from version 1.008 for Windows. You need to open with any editor the file Eng_inst.dat (or Ger_inst.dat for german upgrade) and then change the second row from
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE,SOFTWARE\CadWare\BlueCAD\1.0\MNU,ROOTDIR
to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE,SOFTWARE\CadWare\BlueCAD\1.0\BLUECAD,ROOTDIR
then run Eng_inst.exe again (Ger_inst.exe for german upgrade).

Q: I try to import a drawing from AutoCAD in format .dwg, but BlueCAD reports 'Invalid file name' error. Then I try in format .dxf, but BlueCAD reports errors in the import-filter and i must close it.
A: BlueCAD 1.0 import-filters read DXF and DWG formats up to Release 12, and not next ones. So, you should check drawing release and in case save it from AutoCAD in Release 12 format. BlueCAD 2.0 reads all DXF and DWG formats, up to last release.
